Classification of target audience and questionnaire results

Following our market poll research, we found that the intended audience in our sample did indeed prefer the indie genre...

12 people (mostly 16-24yr olds) said indie was their favourite genre
The favourite artists were mostly indie - we can use this when it comes to analyzing the conventions of our genre
Here are some examples of what people like in existing media products, which we can draw inspiration from

Therefore, our target audience is 16-24 year old females (which is only age and gender specific).

Here are some of the more specific questions we asked in our research, which we will be using to draw in our audience:
We have chosen to place emphasis on our narrative in our music video
We aim to use a mixture of both light and dark colours, perhaps switching between a standard RGB and a monochrome colour palette as the latter is a convention of the indie genre
Our song has both fast and slow bits - we aim to edit to the beat thus using a mixture of paces
We also asked about memorable or eye-catching ads, which will be helpful when it comes to constructing both a digipak and a magazine advert for our ancillary tasks:
